Sophos install files are stored on the Sophos Admin server in the following location:

If you have issues connecting an AVG client to an AVG admin server ensure the following things are considered:
1. The server and the client must be running the same version. You cant run 2012 clients on 2016 server and visa versa.
2. Ensure you have specified port 4158 and in the admin console settings page try the FQDN is the server name alone does not work.
3. Try resetting the connection settings to defualt using the defualt button then re-enter the details.

If you get this error when un-installing or installing AVG you will need to do the following:
Download and run the correct version of AVG Remover - If it doesnt work try runing ALL of them. Make sure you run them from a full domain/local admin user. http://www.avg.com/gb-en/utilitiesAVG Remover (32bit)AVG Remover (64bit)AVG Remover (32bit) 2015AVG Remover (64bit) 2015AVG Identity Protection Remover
Reboot - Then try to install AVG again.

If this fails, try to install AVG in another location (select advanced install).
If this still fails you'll need to do this:

Then re-install the .NET frameworks.
o .NET Framework v1.1
o .NET Framework v1.1 SP1
o .NET Framework v3.5 SP1 (Note that this will also install v2.0 and v3.0 SP2 of .NET Framework)

- Install .NET Framework 1.1, 1.1 SP1, 3.5 SP1 and 4.0 in order.
Check Windows Update and ensure all important Updates have been installed.
Try to install AVG again.

installation log for AVG:
